With loving attention to detail

Locomotives were repaired here until the late sixties. Locomotives were the most important means of transport for transporting raw materials, especially during the industrialisation and the heyday of the coal and steel industry in the Ruhr Area. The "Friends of the Railway" are still working tirelessly on the further development of the museum and the preservation of the railways. A true project of the heart!
